Hey Tammy, that’s really a question every writer has to answer for themselves. For me, the most important thing is consistency. I am better at writing long pieces if I do a little bit every day. Like, half an hour. If you have more time, you can do more, of course. But the important thing is to work continually. Aside from that, there are many blog posts and books on this topic. I suggest you start there.
I think that there is just a finite way of making money. Offline commerce also hasn’t changed in a very long time. You basically either sell products or offer services. The rest is just about marketing and finding clients. Online commerce didn’t reinvent the wheel, it just moved all these activities on the Internet. While the marketing side has changed over time, the overall principles were always the same.
Find your niche partners, collaborators, and champions: As you’re creating your course, look for notable people who are also creating content in the space. Look at how their businesses operate and incorporate that into your own plan. You can also reach out to any influencers and make them affiliates for your own course. This way, they’ll be incentivized to share your content with their own audiences (which can be a major way to generate your first sales—it helps if you're using one of the best CRMs for small business—and start building your own community!)
Get-rich-quick schemes and fad weight-loss diets are naturally popular because they satisfy the id while also attending to the super-ego. The ego's job is complete when it sees something like this. The appeal of "fast'' stems from the innate desire for instant gratification, so beware of what seems too good to be true (they often are) when you're looking to make money quickly. Be wary. Listen to the conversation deep within the confines of your mind and do your best to tame the proverbial beasts.
