Location. The most successful bed and breakfasts are those that are convenient to airports, historic parts of town, or other tourist attractions. That’s because there are two types of guests who tend to frequent B&B’s: business travelers who are tired of sterile hotel rooms, and families looking for a unique experience. That’s not to say that you can’t develop a successful B&B if your home isn’t located in the perfect spot, but you might have to work harder to make it a success if it isn’t.
As the old saying goes, when you buy stocks, you do it with the hopes of “buying low and selling high.” Dividend stocks work the same way, but with one other benefit: just for owning the stock, you are paid a small portion of the company’s earnings in the form of a dividend. With these types of stocks, you get paid when the stock goes up in value, and when dividends are paid out.
With so many bloggers and websites offering giveaways, now is a great time to win. Depending on what you win, you can sell it for money or use it for your family.  Giveaways that offer free food are a great way to reduce your grocery bill. Track these giveaways and freebies using services like Twitaway and Google Alerts. You can also sign up for free products through the Amazon Product Sampling program.
In addition to income ideas listed above, here are additional money-making ideas that would make great secondary income sources. Most of these are not passive and will require ongoing work to maintain income. Spend an hour or two each day working on these side-income ideas that are practical for you, and you can build additional income sources to help you improve your finances:
Our unique money earning software enables our users to run multiple iterations of the software on as many computers as they wish. Another option: Consider starting your own real estate investment group. This is a great way to team together with other small investors, either via pooling your money together or simply by learning from eachother. According to Joseph Hogue, CFA from PeerFinance101.com, “The common bond in all real estate investing groups is that you help each other compete against the big money players to get the best returns.”

The most successful Etsy shop owners treat their business like a real storefront. Present your products in a loving and beautiful way and use great photography to showcase your handiwork. To determine the cost of your products, first be sure you’re offering value to the buyer (and that you’re making a profit). Don’t forget to consider shipping and other fees.
No matter what method you choose to make money online, understand that you might be able to make some money fast, but for the sizable returns, you'll need significant sweat equity. However, a year from now, you'll be happy you started today. Remember, time is far more valuable than money. Focus on creating passive income streams that will free up your time so that you can quit the rat race and focus on the things that matter.
Where investing is a wealth-building strategy that has been around forever, the second passive income option on this list is fairly new. Affiliate marketing is an income idea that requires you to have a website or platform you can use to promote other companies, or “affiliates.” When someone uses your affiliate link to purchase a product or sign up for a service, you get paid.
The much loved model for bloggers and content creators everywhere and for a good reason…it’s pretty easy to write a 60-80 page ebook, not hard to sell say $500 worth a month through online networking, guest posting and your own SEO optimized blog, and well you get to keep a large whack of the pie after paying affiliates.  Hells yeah!  Continue reading >
If you have an extra, idle car that spends a lot of time taking up space, why not put it to use? List your car for rent on TURO. Set your own availability, then qualified renters work on your schedule, so you don’t have to worry. In certain markets, if you’re not using your car at all (or perhaps you or your spouse are traveling for the week), you can simply park your car at the airport for guaranteed money just for parking your car.
Storage. Depending on how big your business gets, you’ll need ample room to store the books. You can’t get lazy or disorganized about it, either. You have to keep the books in good condition, and you need to be able to find them when someone wants them. For instance, if you list a book in “like new” condition, and then the pages get smashed during storage, you’ll be in a bind if someone places an order before you realize what happened.

@Phil – I agree, survey is not for everyone. I am too busy for it, but I have friends who said survey works well for them. I linked to her site. I will have to take a look at in-person consumer opinion. I haven’t done one, but is seems to be worth it at $75-$200 a shot. @Shanti – Thank you. I used to be a seller on eBay too. I buy wholesales, then retail sell them. But the margin is not as good as I’d like it to be due to all the fees, and I didn’t get a… Read more »
People are always looking to have their cars washed and detailed. You could be a mobile car washer and detailer without having a permanent location. Reach out to people you know or make some flyers and put it in your neighbors' mailboxes. If you want to get serious about it, prop up a one-page website or give out business cards. You can make money quickly doing this.
